Charlie wants to compare bike rental companies while he is on vacation. Handlebar Mania has a flat rate of $50 for all day. Peddle-Me-Faster has no initial charge, but it is $10 per hour. Two-Wheelin' only charges $5 per hour, but it has an initial charge of $20. Explain to Charlie how he can graph these bike rental charges and describe what key features of the graphs he should consider when making a decision
@ranga please its urgent
Let y be the rental cost and x be the number of hours: For the first company, the equation is: y = 50 For the second company: y = 10x For the third company: y = 5x + 20 You can graph all three of them and they are all straight lines. The key feature to look for is where the graphs intersect. You will find up to the intersection point, one company will be lower than the other and depending on the number of hours the bike will be rented one can conclude which company would be cheaper based on the graph and the intersection points.
