Using the triangle below, which equation can be used to solve for x? cos 41° =x/25 sin 41° =x/25 tan 41° =25/x cos 41° =25/x

@habibmatatta

OpenStudy (nubeer):

cos a = base/hyp (a is the angle)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soh cah toa. this time its the cah.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

adjacent/hypotenuse this time is x/25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how come?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

adjacent is next to so the side length next to the 41 degree angle is x and the hypotenuse is 25 so cos41=x/25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that make sense? the hypotenuse and adjacent side of the angle will never be the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah it does make sense thank u :)
