I'm not sure if this is the correct category but I guess it could be.. Anyway please help me!
How could we help if you do not ask any question? Simply post your question.
Well no one ever wants to help if they see your question first.. anyway, I'm in Spanish 1 at flvs but I'm stuck on an assignment about changing verbs.. so here it is: 03.02 Describe the Family 03.02 Describe the Family Writing Assignment Instructions: You already watched the video blog about Marisa and her friend Andrea. You saw how Marisa used rephrasing in the video to help Andrea understand her. For example: In the video, our blogger said: Marisa: No Andrea, no estoy mal. Tampoco estoy triste. Andrea: ¿Qué? Marisa: Estoy bien, pero tengo mucho calor. Now, imagine that you are the one having the conversation with Andrea. Read the following dialogue and rephrase your sentences by using the estar and tener expressions from this lesson to help Andrea better understand what you are trying to express. You: “No estoy bien.” Andrea: “¿Qué?” You: (To help Andrea better understand what your are trying to express, rephrase your statement .) You: “Estoy emocionado (or emocionada).” Andrea: “Emocionado ( or emocionada). “¿Qué? No entiendo.” You: (To help Andrea better understand what you are feeling, rephrase your statement by using the verb estar.) Submit your answers to your teacher to be graded.
Well so we're supposed to rephrase "no estoy bien" and "estoy emocionado"?
@kc_kennylau Is that all?
lolz I'm asking you and you're asking me back xp
Oh, I have no clue
I thought I was supposed to use the verb tener because different forms of estar are already used..?
I would (just I would) use "estoy mal" to rephrase "no estoy bien"
and triste to rephrase emocionado/a
Well it's Spanish 1, so I don't know if I can use mal cause I'm pretty sure we haven't learned that yet. Even though I kind of know it, but my teacher won't let me.
But rephrasing emocionado to triste is helpful!
Well judging on the fact that you know beyond the scope, you have a good foundation :) Keep this up and you'll be a Spanish pro :D
btw, how would you know emocionado but not mal (you=syllabus)
Q: Well it's Spanish 1, so I don't know if I can use mal cause I'm pretty sure we haven't learned that yet. A: Well, "mal" is used in the text given as example, so obviously you know it and you can use it. For the last question, I think you might either use : "yo no estoy ......." or "yo tengo........" with a word that you have learned in this section.
Well, @Danielle_Ello, what words did you learn in this section? Let us know so that we can help you :)
@kc_kennylau Didn't really learn any new words in this section, just learned about singular and possessive adjectives, and determining if they are familiar or formal mostly.
I see...
I'm doing it via online virtual school, so the lesson are easier to get lost in apposed to books.
@kc_kennylau Sorry, I am still a bit confused. Can you tell me which parts I am supposed to rephrase please?
Uh, I didn't go through what you're going through, so I don't know if I can help you...
coz, u noe, i didn't study in online virtual school
Oh.... okay well thanks for trying :)
