use addition property of inequality to solve the inequality and graph the solution set on a number line. 6x-6<5x+6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got x<12 but it says its wro9ng.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

what works for me when working with inequalities is to pretend there is an equal sign after solving then make it "unequal" for this problem and using addition property, add (-5x +6) to each side 6x-6+(-5x+6) < 5x + 6 (-5x + 6) 6x <12 x<2 to graph on the number line open circle at x =2 and draw the line to the left showing values less than 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x<12, not x<2

OpenStudy (triciaal):

wait i made a mistake you are right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x-6<5x+6 +6 +6 6x<5x+12 -5x -5x x<12

@cmenendez55

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope thats wrong too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is right, you might not be putting it in right

The question also wants you to graph it on a number line
