I'd suggest you look at all four possible answers and ask yourself whether, in any of these cases, a(n) approaches zero. If a(n) does not approach zero, then the terms of the sequence continue to alternative between (-) and (+), which is NOT convergent. Hint: Try using absolute values; then take the limit as n approaches infinity.
