Solve for b. A=(a+b+c)/3 A.) 3A - a - c = b B.) -c / 3 = b C.) A - c / 3 = b C.) -3 - c = b

First you would want to multiply both sides by 3 to get a straight equation. So 3A = a+b+c Then you do subtraction to both sides to get b by itself. What do you think the answer is from there?

A? @PsychoTink

wait no it's the last one.

You were right with a. I'm assuming based on the capitalization differences that A and a are different. But it's a bad question that it would use the same variables like that.
