Law studies question...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using one of the decision-making models—utilitarian, rights, fairness and justice, common good, virtue—write a brief paragraph explaining your thoughts regarding the question you came up with in your answer to question #1. My question was "Is it ethical for minors to be tried as adults in criminal courts based on the crime?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no idea lol sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Compassionate can you help with this?

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

I think it is ethical to try minors as adult based on the crime.

In my opinion it is not ethical for minors to be tried as adults in criminal courts based on the crime. Many people may think it is the right idea, but their opinions may be wrong. Young adults may have a future ahead of themselves, anybody can change. Their life is young and they can make the better out of it. They still need the punishment as a juvenile to set them straight. Perhaps even being tried as a juvenile will be a wake up call upon them. Not all young adults are to be held accountable for their wrong doings all the time. Sure, they committed the action, but they may have background influences. The child might have had a bad relationship with their whole family, or may not even have a family. You never know if a kid can be helped or not, but there is always hope and we can all change that. Trying a young adult as an adult - no matter the crime would be possible to think about, but in the long run, giving them a chance and setting them straight would be the cookie I would take. Source - My thoughts on this question - feel free to ask questions.

Is that how you are supposed to answer or are you supposed to use something with the decision making process?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In the paragraph I stated is compels both justice, virtue, fairness, and rights, along with common good.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So yes as I wrote it I included HOW you were supposed to answer.. my format suits the question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
