What is the slope of the linear model?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Remember the formula for the slope of a straight line that connects two given points? You have apparently already identified two points and need only find the slope of the line connecting them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I find that ?

OpenStudy (marigirl):

(6,9) (10,13) lets call it (x1, y1) (x2,y2) now lets use the formula to find the gradient (slope) m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) would u be able to tell me the gradient

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/2 ?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I'd still prefer that you calculate it yourself, but the work involved is easy: 13-9 m = ------ = ?? 10-6

OpenStudy (mathmale):

this strictly follows the formula marigirl typed.

OpenStudy (marigirl):

lets try again @katrinamarie0803

OpenStudy (mathmale):

13-9=? 10-6=? 13-9 m = ------ = ? 10-6

OpenStudy (mathmale):

It appears that our friend katrinamarie has simply abandoned this question and those helping her with it, without notice, and has gone elsewhere.

OpenStudy (marigirl):

@mathmale how come you have a diamond with 70 on your icon? what does it stand for?
