Which description best defines the Industrial Revolution A. the rebellions by industrial workers that Karl Marx and others predicted B. an enormous change in the way people viewed science and religion C. the changes in the way people lived and worked that resulted from the rise of unions and community associations D. the great changes brought about when machines and factories replaced animal power and handmade goods
The industrial revolution was the change from individual producing products from start to finish, to factory production. Initially when you went to say a shoemaker he would cut the leather for the soles and uppers and then sew them together by hand. In the Industrial revolution you might have ten people cutting soles using a cutting machine and ten people cutting uppers with a cutting machine. They would then pass it on to More people using machines to sew them then polish etc.. Essentially the machine began to replace the individual to produce more at a cheaper rate. So you decide from this information :)

Developed in the 1830s and 1840s by Samuel Morse (1791-1872) and other inventors, the telegraph revolutionized long-distance communication. It worked by transmitting electrical signals over a wire laid between stations. In addition to helping invent the telegraph, Samuel Morse developed a code (bearing his name) that assigned a set of dots and dashes to each letter of the English alphabet and allowed for the simple transmission of complex messages across telegraph lines. In 1844, Morse sent his first telegraph message, from Washington, D.C., to Baltimore, Maryland; by 1866, a telegraph line had been laid across the Atlantic Ocean from the U.S. to Europe. Although the telegraph had fallen out of widespread use by the start of the 21st century, replaced by the telephone, fax machine and Internet, it laid the groundwork for the communications revolution that led to those later innovations. so B.

The Communist Manifesto (Das Kommunistische Manifest), originally titled Manifesto of the Communist Party (German: Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei), is a short 1848 publication written by the political theorists Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. It has since been recognized as one of the world's most influential political manuscripts.[1] Commissioned by the Communist League, it laid out the League's purposes and program. It presents an analytical approach to the class struggle (historical and present) and the problems of capitalism, rather than a prediction of communism's potential future forms.[2] The book contains Marx and Engels' theories about the nature of society and politics, that in their own words, "The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles". It also briefly features their ideas for how the capitalist society of the time would eventually be replaced by socialism, and then eventually communism. so D.
