OpenStudy (mertsj):

I think the problem is not posted correctly.

thts how its written in the text book tho

OpenStudy (mertsj):

It says express the ratio of the area of the larger circle in simplest radical form. The area of the larger circle is not a ratio. A ratio is a comparison between two quantities. I repeat: The problem is not posted correctly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops! I mean : the area of the larger circle to the area of the smaller circle in simplest radical form

OpenStudy (radar):

Use the equation for Area of a circle, A=(Pi)r^2. Do this for each circle. Then set up the ratio.
