https://media.glynlyon.com/g_alg01_2012/10/329.gif I've tried to do this problem almost three times and havent gotten any of the awnseres can somone solve this for me please solve for k k = -4 k = -10 k = 44 k = 58

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Did you multiply every fraction by 18?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get that number

OpenStudy (mertsj):

It is the common denominator of all 4 denominators.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you give me the awnser please ive been stuck on this problem for almost an hour or a quick explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give me an explain not the awnser nvm

OpenStudy (mertsj):

When you multiply the first fraction by 18, the 6 cancels and you have 12k+9

OpenStudy (mertsj):

When you multiply the second fraction by 18 the 9 cancels and you have 8k-16

OpenStudy (mertsj):

So on the left you have:12k+9+8k-16 which is 20k-7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you do it in one big thing so i can edit it ??

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Now the right side: When you multiply 5k-4/3 by 18 the 3 cancels and you have 30k-24

OpenStudy (mertsj):

18/6(4k+3) +18/9(4k-8)=18/3(5k-4)-18/2(k-3)

hey thanks for all the help man/lady
