What is the square root of 75 x to the 5th power?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sqrt(75x)^5? Is that x a variable3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well your first step is to separate the root. If you multiply two numbers under the same root, you can put the terms under the same radical.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually its 75(x^5 my bad :s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you draw it out for me? :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It wont let me draw :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On paint? Save it then sent it as an attachment. That's what I did, too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

send*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's strange, all you can do to that is change the sqrt(x^5).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So that would be 75x^(5/2) which is no better than the first form. Is that all they want?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me ask my online teacher :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

radical 75 x to 5 power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, I just need to know what the actual question is to help. D=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, so then it would just be 75x^(5/2)
