@Mertsj @Saybah @Compassionate

2. Alliteration

2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alliteration is when all or most of the words begin in the same letter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It can't be alliteration because the 'c' sound in crooked and crack is different than the 'c' sound in ceiling.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sound has nothing to do with it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alliteration - Repetition of a consonant sound or sounds at the beginning of a series of words. For example: Baa, Baa, Black sheep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sound does have something to do with alliteration...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then it's 4. It's not a metaphor.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

It is alliteration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, it is not an alliteration. An alliteration is repetition of a consonant sound or sounds at the beginning of a series of words. The 'c' words in the sentence do not all have the same sound. @Mertsj

4. free verse is the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alliteration is ruled because of what you explained. Simile compares things with word "like" and "as." A Metaphor is "a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable." SO that's why it's free verse.
