What is the end behavior of the function f(x) = -3x4-x3 + 2x2 + 4x + 5? -up on the left, up on the right -up on the left, down on the right -down on the left, up on the right -down on the left, down on the right

it would be up and up right?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I see right away that your function is of the 4th order. If the coefficient of the x^4 term is +, the curve will open upward; it starts in the 2nd quadrant and ends in the 1st quadrant. Hope this language is familiar for you.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

On the other hand, if the coeff of the x^4 term is (-), the curve will open downward; it starts in Q3 and ends in Q4. In otherwords up on the left and down on the right. Draw it.

Sorry, Molly, but it's 'way past my usual bedtime, and so I'm heading upstairs. Do ask (perhaps through a message) if you have additional questions about this problem. Good night!

Okay thanks!
