To what extent are economic shifts that originated in medieval Europe evident in today’s economy?
If this means the transition from feudalism to limited mercantilism, then it could best be likened to the emergence of capitalism since that is what mercantilism was. How this relates to the modern economy is iffy, though. I suppose you could say the hierarchy of feudalism is still evident inside of the "corporate ladder", where the whole parts add up to the people at the top. Or that the leniency that comes from a more free market allows for the funding of things like art and education.
