How would you use synthetic divison to find a second root that will reduce the cubic expression: x^3+4x^2+6x+4 into a quadratic expression?

of it has a rational zero, it must be negative, and your choices are numbers that divide 4, namely -1,-2,-4 -1 does not work, but i think -2 does check that f(-2)=0 and then factor it as (x +2 )(some quadratic)
