correct
thx for the medal! :)
@severus4ever refrain from giving out answers.
thank you all very much
You can say that to almost every openstidier out there, nobody doesn't give out answers unless the person asks for an explanation. Take a look around.
@severus4ever Really? Have you seen my answers?
Invalid statement, its against the CoC. So because someone cheats you have to cheat as well...? There's no logic in what you said.
How is it cheating @tHe_FiZiCx99 ? When there is a straight forward question, you can just give the answer. Its like going through 500 pages of a history textbook to just explain a person that george washington is the first president, is that really nessecary? For simple questions, I can't really refrain from giving out answers.
@severus4ever I agree with you to a point. Some questions are so simple that you can just give out the answer. In this case, you could have just written the following: a * b = b * a commutative property (change of order) a * (b * c) = (a * b) * c associative property (change of grouping) Then the poster could have picked the correct property.
This is not a straight forward question. History questions are straight forward. This could have had an explanation. Associative property of multiplication sates that when you're multiplying more than 3 numbers, the product is always the be same regardless of the order they're put in.
@tHe_FiZiCx99 Actually that is not the associative property of multiplication. You just described the commutative property.
Of grouping. Ma bad.
Other reasons why I plainly give out answers to SOME questions is because there are people who are lacking behind there semesters and they need to have assignments done fast. Did you ever stop to think that when students are at this level, they really don't CARE for the explanations? Another reason is because, some students might already know the concept, they just don't have enough time to do them. <------ I have met lots of Open studiers who have that problem, and I can give you a few usernames if youd like.
Wow. Was that suppose to help? That would be against you, you could have explained it to them so they CAN learn it themselves and advance without having to refer to OS for every question. Even in history you can explain why its that answer.
Did you just delete my answer? Sorry for me trying to help people without trying to stop other people from helping them without my big ego. Your just trying to argue for something thats already over.
Woooow did you seriously just delete your own answer?? I'm not a MOD therefore I can't do that, you and I are the only one's here so it was clearly you. I'm not trying to argue, I'm merely stating a point. Why did you delete your answer if you think you're right?
Hi! You may come and go as you please. Or you may come and delete posts you make on here. Remember MODERATORS STILL SEE EVERYTHING DELETED OR NOT. Giving out direct answers does go against the CoC. You must explain or provide information when giving a direct answer. As said in the CoC. We try to guide our users towards the right answer instead of plainly giving them out. Considering you both have admitted to just giving out direct answers, then this is a warning. Please do not do this again. @severus4ever and @mathstudent55 if you have any concerns on to what you have done, please contact a moderator. As for everyone, stay friendly, stay nice. Keep OpenStudy cheat free! Thank you. https://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct https://openstudy.com/terms-and-conditions
Becca, Mathstudent didn't do anything >.>
Sorry @mathstudent55 for including you in that description.
why are you guys posting constantly on here you're not helping anyone
severus4ever was being helpful and for that i am grateful the rest of you should go make yourself more useful
In a way we are helping OS stay cheat free. So sanku very much :3
So who in this scenario would be considered 'cheating?'
The person who said " B " (you)
You would be where you didn't give an explanation when you had posted the answer. @severus4ever
i didnt see any cheating you properly answered the question by showing an example they call it cheating cause you didnt define every little thing
@sadaholic19 never take direct answers from users without a detailed explanation, especially in math.
Define properly? Saying " B " lacks every detail. And becca is right. For the most part people who tend to say random options are always wrong.
thanks for your concern @beccaboo333 but i verify all answers
Alright, but remember most people who give direct answers are often guessing.
I wasn't guessing if you were directing that towards me @beccaboo333
