How many different ways can i put 6 people on a volley ball court? Show work please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many spaces are on a volleyball court? Is there a difference between the places?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know about math, not about volleyball, be specific please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

left front, middle front, right front Back left , Middle Back, Back Right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so there's 6 position for 6 players, each player will therefore be placed, and it's the order which is important?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 720 xD because of permutations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in that case it's simply 6! (6 factorial)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the answer? can you show work? I want to see if I got it right XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i told you the answer, it's 6 factorial.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which means 6*5*4*3*2*1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and yes it's equal to 720, but if you're doing permutation, combinations, statistics and probability it might be a good idea to get used to using factorials, it saves you a lot of work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 6!=720

Thanks, I'm new to this type of math.
