jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

for the system of equations y = x^2 - 2x - 1 y = -2 you can plug in the second into the first to get -2 = x^2 - 2x - 1 so x^2 - 2x + 1 = 0 <- can you factor this? :)

b

:o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im wrong hold on

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

mmm not quite :) try factoring x^2 - 2x + 1 = 0 what would you get? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-1)(x-1)=0 so x equals 1

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yep :) then you can plug in 1 for x into y = x^2 - 2x - 1 and solve for y

D :)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yep :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yayyy :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

you're welcome :)

well good night :)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
