relatively prime

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

two numbers are relatively prime (or coprime) if they only share the factor 1 between them

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

for example, 10 and 33 are relatively prime because the only factor that is in both numbers is 1. Notice how 10 is composite (it has factors 1, 2, 5, 10) and how 33 is also composite (factors of 33: 1, 3, 11, 33). So this means that composite numbers can be relatively prime. By definition, two prime numbers are always relatively prime.
