do you know the differences between the types of collisions?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no...
OpenStudy (roadjester):
ok, do you know what it means when something is elastic?
OpenStudy (roadjester):
like an elastic band?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
is it movement or something

ok an elastic collision means that both energy and momentum are coonserved and basically when two things hit, they will bounce away from each other
OpenStudy (anonymous):
alright, so inelastic collusion will be the answer?
OpenStudy (roadjester):
partially; notice that you have inelastic and "perfectly inelastic"
OpenStudy (roadjester):
the difference is, in an while the objects still bounce apart, energy is lost
in "perfectly inelastic" the objects also lose energy, but this time they stick together
OpenStudy (roadjester):
that should make the answer very obvious :)
