write a quadratic equation with -3/4 and 4 as its roots. write the equation in fomr ax^2+bx+c=0, where a,b, and c are integers.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

If a quadratic equation has roots a and b, then is has factors x - a and x - b. To find the quadratic equation, write (x - a)(x - b) = 0 In your case, replace a and b with -3/4 and 4.

This guy's advice was really helpful. I don't see what else you need.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Ok, here's a little more help. After you replace a and b with the numbers, multiply both sides by 4 to get rid of the denominator of 4. Then multiply the two factors together.
