I need to know the length of B, and CED's angle measure

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

For m<CED: In a triangle, the sum of the measures of the angles is 180. You know the measures of two angles, so you can find the measure of the third.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

For m<B: In a polygon of n sides, the sum of the measures of the angles is (n - 2)*180. Here you have 4 sides, so n = 4. Use the formula above to find the sum of the measures of the angles of the 4-sided polygon. Then you know the measures of 3 of its 4 angles, so you can find the measure of angle B.

I don't understand how you got 180 though? Can you tell me how you got 180 please?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Think of a triangle as a polygon of 3 sides. That means n = 3. (n - 2) * 180 = (3 - 2) * 180 = 1 * 180 = 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh whoops i dunno what just happened but thank you! Can you help me with another?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Yes. Pls start a new post. I'll go there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathstudent55 So wait...the answer to BOTH of these is 180??
