What are the steps in solving this type of equation; Let f(x) = 9x - 2 and g(x) = -x + 3. Find f(g(x)).

OpenStudy (scorcher219396):

f(g(x)) means you take the equation you are given as g(x), and plug that whole thing in where you have x in f(x) After you plug this in, you will distribute the 9 and combine like terms to get the simplest answer

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf f(x) = 9x - 2 \qquad {\color{red}{ g(x)}} = -x + 3 \\ \quad \\ f(\quad {\color{red}{ g(x)}}\quad )=9({\color{red}{ -x + 3}}) - 2\)

Thank you so very much scorcher219396 and jdoe0001 I greatly appreciate it :D
