1) Hospital Delivery Wards and Infant Nurseries so this sort of thing ALL the time. It helps them with staffing and supply needs. Part of it is guessing intelligently from past experience. Part of ti is Doctors telling them who will be coming in soon. 2) One of my all-time favorite places: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/ More information than you can believe exists.
Okay I think I figured it out I found the statistics its 3,999,386 births for 2010 (the year we're doing) and we need to find the number of births for each month so would I just divide 3,999,386 by 12?
This one is amazing! http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr60/nvsr60_07.pdf You can break down pregnancy into its 3 most common outcomes, Birth, Fetal Loss (Miscarriage), and Abortion (Deliberate or medically necessary?). Yes, probably just divide by 12.
Thanks! And very interesting sites!
You may have to adjust that 12 but the actual number of days in each month. 28 is quite a bit different from 31. You could get maybe a 6% variation from one month to the next.
