oh crap I was doing the pathgorem theorem... i dont know how to find this missing measure. Try bumping your question so more people can see it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the sin of an angle is the opposite side/hypotenuse so sin(y) = 7/12 solve for y y = sin^-1(7/12) = 35.7 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the cos 30° is 0.866, then the sin Answer° is 0.866. (4 points) waht about this one??????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what ***

@JamesWolf

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@phi @mathwizzard3 is this correct? isn't it adj/hyp or is is opp-hyp? I have my doubts

OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):

Soh-cah-toa

OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):

Is that what this is about?

OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):

You have opposite and hypotenuse so (sin)y=7/12

OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):

JamesWolf is right

OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):

sin = opposite/hypotenuse cos = adjacent/hypotenuse tangen t= opposite/adjacent
