Im not 100% sure how to do this: 10 < –3x + 1

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

same way you did the other one...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it something like : 10 < –3x + 1 -1 -1 10<-2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no 10 < -3x + 1 -1 -1 9 < -3x...can you finish

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

nope lol: 10 < –3x + 1 -1 -1

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

same thing i did kellie XD great minds think alike :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes they do :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooh ok thats what i kinda thought

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so now we have : 9 < -3x can you find x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then 9<-3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on im figuring it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Be careful with your negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9/-3 < -3x/-3 ?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

*claps*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One rule with inequalities...when dividing/multiplying by a negative, the inequality sign changes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then.... i think..... 3 > x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9 < -3x -- divide by -3 and change inequality sign 9/-3 > x -3 > x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i wasnt sure if if was 3 or -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D thannks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure thing :)

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

o.o Kellie is a boss :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha ikr
