What is the simplified form of -3z ^2 (z-2)-4(z ^2+1) ? I am so confused :/

OpenStudy (mathmale):

It'd be worth learning and using the Equation Editor (see the blue tab marked Equation); I guarantee it'd relieve some of your confusion a bout what to do. I can only tell you what my interpretation is of your expression -3z^2(z-2)-4(z^2+1): \[-3z ^{2}*(z-2)-4(z ^{2}+1).\]

Thank you :)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Performing the indicated multiplication: \[-3z ^{3}+6z ^{2}-4z ^{2}-4.\] Now combine the two middle terms, and you'll be done. Thanks, Mena! :)

Your welcome. Thank you!! (:

how can 5 ^2 (2x-3) be simplified ? That's the other question I was confused on :/

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Again, I'd prefer you use the Equation Editor. Here's my interpretation of your expression, via Equation Editor:\[5^{2}(2x-3).\] I'd rewrite 5^2 as 25, and thus obtain 25(2x-3). I'd leave it like that, but you could also write 50x -75, which is equivalent.

Thanks :) I really appreciate it
