Well, parallel structure is when parts of a sentence that are in a list are similarly "formatted". By this definition, B, C, and D are incorrect. For B, "lie" and "act" are the same kind of verb. For C, "a dirty rotten liar" and "a terrific monster" are "similarly formatted". D is obviously similar. That leaves A--"You are a dirty rotten liar" and "You are terrifically monstrous" are different. It's A
