The equation of line AB is (y−3) = 5 (x − 4). What is the slope of a line perpendicular to line AB?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slope of your line AB is 5 and to find the slope a line perpendicular to that you would take the opposite inverse of 5 which is -1/5.

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

The slope is NOT 5, as y is not isolated.

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

We need to use y = mx + b
