OpenStudy (goldeverything):

Wondering out of curiosity would people who pay for subscription to this site have different guide lines than normal user's?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

They follow the same rules. Subscription comes with a small list of benefits and they are looking at making more so that it becomes worth it for a larger number of people.

OpenStudy (goldeverything):

Ok just wondering since i was thinking about paying for a subscription

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

I would like too see an added list of benefits for subscribers. It seems like there should be more if you have to pay

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, right now it is: Subscription Support the OpenStudy team by becoming a monthly subscriber. Here's what you get: Choose your own "title" that appears by your username in study groups. A diamond SmartScore indicator that signifies your sponsorship. Surf OpenStudy without external advertisements. But part of the goal they have is to add a few other things to the list.

OpenStudy (blues):

There is much discussion about this. I personally am on the other side of that line - I think that OpenStudy should not be a two tier community with tangibly better features for those who can pay.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, I think some things that would not hurt people would be things like a message search and other tools that make non-essential features easier. That would add more value to the membership without really making it worse on the free users.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

An ability to make a question with invite only replies might also be nice. So others could not jump into your question unless you tag them. This would be good for tutoring sessions or dealing with a person that has been helping you on a particular topic. Also, because it would be attached to a credit card through the account, if someone used this to cheat, it could really come back to bite them. It would add value to the subscription, but keep responsibility, and not really hurt the community as a whole because these would still be publicly viewable questions.

OpenStudy (jlg030597):

Agree with @e.mccormick
