Write a function that represents the following situation. The gravitational force, F, between two bodies is inversely proportional to the square of the distance, d, between them.

OpenStudy (deoxna):

Do you know what it means for two things to be "inversely proportional"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does that mean "divided by"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

F=k/d?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I feel like I'm missing something, though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

F=k(1/d^2)?

OpenStudy (deoxna):

Yes! That last one is exactly it. If you're taking physics, you run into comparing things that are inversely and directly proportional a lot.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, I guess I was just thinking about it too hard, haha. Thanks.

OpenStudy (deoxna):

Hahaha, sure. No problem.
