Find the derivative of y=sin^(-5)x - cos^(3)x

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

First derive the sin/cos, then multiply it with the derivative of what they contain. (Not sure how to explain it)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's not divided though, it's subtracted?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Huh? No see let's use an example. The derivative of cos 8x will be the derivative of cos*derivative of 8x=-sin (8x)(8)=-8sin(8x)

first you pray. Then you give thanks then you hope :DD
