OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did whole part, but this last one confusing me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think he is saying as far as her outer beauty she is all that the painting portrayed but in person she is more than he could have imagined her. I was never good with poetry but this is more like a different way of speaking. He is talking about how he is falling for the girl from the painting but not just for her beauty. I think. I could be wrong.

He had an idea of the perfect love. She turned out to be a lot older, had a different color of hair and eyes than he had imagined and a lot of other negative attributes but he loved her anyway.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks a lot for helping @Mertsj !!!!!! :)

Here's what some other internet person thought: When taken with the rest of the poem, it indicates that the woman of whom he speaks is more than what he thought her to be at first. Carroll says that he first imagined her young, only to find that she was older. He thinks of her as nice, but there are some things he would take away about her. It's him coming to terms with the reality of the situation.

I was bit confused with last part :)
