Suppose that the functions g and h are defined for all real numbers x as follows. g(x)=2x+1 h(x)=x=5 Write the expressions for (g-h)(x)and (g+h)(x) and evaluate (g*h)(4).

OpenStudy (lucaz):

I'm sorry, I was thinking about (g*h)(4), this case you replace the x in g(x) by the function h(x), then you plug in 4 and calculate

OpenStudy (lucaz):

for g-h and g+h you just add them, like adding expressions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok let me try it

OpenStudy (lucaz):

actually (g*h)(4) is the same process as (g-h), but now you multiply the 'expressions' and replace x by 4, I thought it was (g of h)
