OpenStudy (destinymasha):

2. the rise and fall of ocean water that occurs about every 12.5 hours

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

well >>>the alternate rising and falling of the sea, usually twice in each lunar day at a particular place, due to the attraction of the moon and sun.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

yes, @destinymasha is correct

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

yay! thanks @whpalmer4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks theres more im looking over now

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

thanks @AngelicMelody

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

bring it on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

1. there is a "storm tide" but that's not the usual meaning 3. the tides are caused by the moon (and to a lesser degree the sun) and so 12 times a day is way too many tides 4. there is a "tidal wave" but again, that's not the usual meaning. so #2 is the best choice.

Which of the following is true about spring tides but is not true about neap tides? (1 point) 1.They must occur during a new moon in the spring. 2.They occur during the moon’s first-quarter and third-quarter phases. 3.They only occur during a full moon. 4.They can occur twice a month, during a new or full moon. im unsure but once i saw someone posted 4 as the answer im looking over about 1 and 2

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I'm out of here, good luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (destinymasha):
