First of all, \(\cos\) always has a range of \([-1,1]\) in real values. So the thing inside does not matter. But when you multiply that by -6, then the maximum value is \(6\) and the minimum is \(-6\). If you divide that by 4, then the maximum value is \(1.5\) and the minimum is \(-1.5\).
And you can input anything into \(\cos\), so that will help you in finding the domain.
Thank you! Made perfect sense.
