HELP PLEASEE ANYONE????> Can Anyone Factor This Out Completely Step By Step, PLEASE. 45z^3 +20z^2 +9z+4

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

\[45z^3+20z^2+9z+4\]Let's try factoring by grouping: \[(45z^3+20z^2) + (9z+4)\]Factor each group: \[5z^2(9z+4)+(9z+4)\]Observe that we have a common factor in each product term of \((9z+4)\) and regroup again \[(9z+4)(5z^2+1)\]

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

That last step is essentially undoing the distributive property: We went from \[c(a+b) + d(a+b)\]back to \[(a+b)(c+d)\]
