The image below shows two dilated figures with lines IJ and KO drawn. If the larger figure is dilated using a scale factor of 5, what relationship do lines IJ and KO have? Would this relationship hold true for all dilations?

they tell you the bigger figure is 5 times bigger than the smaller figure (tho the picture does not show that)... that means all the distances in the bigger figure are 5 times bigger

So would that mean that the lines are parallel? being that they didn't give coordinates so I can reconstruct...

the 3 points I, J, and unlabeled make a triangle. That triangle is similar to the smaller triangle K,O, different unlabeled point. I would say that IJ is 5 times longer than KO. IJ is parallel to KO (IJ is the same direction as KO, just longer)
