Can anyone help out?
Why don't you try plotting it? By plugging in a few values of x and solving it for y and plot it.
its the first choice
think of it in the y=mx+b format. one equation has -3 as the y intercept and the second has nothing as the y intercept making it 0. so which parabole cross at -3 and c? your first choice
parabola *
So the ^2 just basically tells you that it is non-linear?
exactly.
Oh that's so much easier than I was thinking of it, thank you!!
As @hba said, you should plot it. Though, I have already plotted it for you. c; http://fooplot.com/#W3sidHlwZSI6MCwiZXEiOiIyeF4yLTMiLCJjb2xvciI6IiMwMDAwMDAifSx7InR5cGUiOjAsImVxIjoiLXheMiIsImNvbG9yIjoiIzAwMDAwMCJ9LHsidHlwZSI6MTAwMH1d Based on what I have plotted, it is the first one. @dl9817 also gives a great explanation of how to find it with out plotting it. Good luck, have a nice day, and thank you for using OpenStudy. :D
no problem :)
@dl9817 Would this be the first choice?
@dl9817 these are the last two that I'm still getting like caught up on
if i had to guess for that it would be that they intersect at positive x coordinates but im not sure for that one so dont trust my answer
for these "do they intersect" type questions i really dont know for sure aything:/ im sorry
it's alright, thanks for your help(:
no problem, what class is this for? and is it flvs?
its algebra 2 and yeah flvs
did you take geometry on flvs?
no, its actually my first semester doing flvs
ohh okay never mind then. good luck :)
