Start with 2x / (x + 4) Add x + 1/ 2x Subtract x / x-4 - identify any possible restrictions Multiply x-4 / x +1 Divide 6/x-1 - why the degree of the resulting denominator did not change from your expression’s degree FINALLY Divide (x / x + 1) + (x / x - 1) I barely know how to start with this. Especially need help with the degree of the resulting denominator thing. Any help is GREATLY appreciated, thanks so much in advance (:

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

does it start with (2x/2) + 4 or 2x/(2 + 4) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x/(2 + 4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops! Wait I mean 2x / x + 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well actually for the first one you can create your own but it has to be made up of two of these factors - (5x) (2x) (x + 4) (x – 5) (2x + 1) (3x + 5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I just chose 2x / (x + 4) but it doesnt have to be that

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I am so sorry...I lost track of time....I got to go and be somewhere in 15 minutes....again, I am sorry
