You could always plug it into the quadratic formula. Otherwise, this can be factored by expanding and grouping.

So to find numbers which would create terms you can group, you multiply the coefficient of y^2--10--by the constant--40. You find sets of numbers which multiply to 10 x 40 =400 and add to the coefficient of y, 41.
