HELP PLEASE!! Analyze the following statement. Marcus notices that he runs faster in the mornings rather than the evenings. Is the statement an example of correlation or causation?

OpenStudy (gunsodo):

I think Causation, because mornings and evenings don't have any relationship.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Causation needs a reason. No reason has been provided. All it says is that he runs faster in the mornings. It doesn't say that he runs faster BECAUSE it is morning. The reason (causation) may be something else (eg. he may be motivated by people driving to work) Therefore, this is a case of Correlation - two events are related to each other, but it is not clear whether one causes the other.
