Which energy transformation takes place when a firecracker explodes? nuclear to kinetic and chemical • mechanical to electromagnetic and electrical • chemical to thermal and electromagnetic

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

What do you think? Hints: What are firecrackers made of? What do we do to set firecrackers up? And what do we actually see?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mechanical to electromagnetic and electrical? btw I think chemical deals with FOOD*

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Chemical is any(if I'm not overgeneralizing) kind of hidden or potential energy. Food is chemical energy because of the chemicals that contain the energy. Ok here: firecreackers are made of compounds from different elements. When we want them to burn and be pretty, we set them on fire. They will then burn and produce light, which is another type of energy.
