Please help! Company did a quality check on all the packs of trail mixes is targeted to weigh 9.25 oz. A pack must weigh within 0.23 oz of the target weigh to be accepted. What is the range of the rejected masses, x, for the manufactured trail mixes? 1. x<9.02 or x> 9.48 because |x-0.23|+9.25>0 2. x<9.25 or x> 9.48 because |x-0.23|+9.25>0 3. x<9.02 or x> 9.48 because |x-0.25|>0.23

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didn't get it either :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's the heaviest acceptable bag? what's the lightest acceptable bag? why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe 0.23. Isnt it @Peter14 ?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Well you want the range to be between 0.23 of the target weight.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the heaviest one

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

So that means you only accept weights of up to 9.25+0.23 from 9.25-0.23

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't still understand this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you want to figure out what masses the company rejects

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So how do I do it?
