simplify (3^6)^18
when doing an exponent to and exponent, the exponents multiply like (2^3)^4 = 2^(3*4) = 2^12
@jigglypuff314 it's still confusing
mmm it works like for example if given (x^3)^2 -> (x^3)(x^3) = (x*x*x)(x*x*x) = x*x*x*x*x*x = x^6 or -> (x^3)^2 = x^(3*2) = x^6 just works like that so for (3^6)^18 = 3^(6*18) = well, what's 6 times 18 = ?
@jigglypuff314 108 oh ok i understand, so basically you multiply the exponents with the remaining number multiplied to the sum?
mmm I don't quite get what you mean? (3^6)^18 = 3^108
@jigglypuff314 yes that's what i mean, you multiple the exponents which in this case are 6 and 18, then you would multiple that with 3
not necessarily the last part... 3^108 = http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=3%5E108
