can someone explain and show there work on how to do this problem (3t^2)^3(2t^0)^-3

@ikram002p

OpenStudy (a1234):

You're supposed to simplify?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplify and to simplify powers when one is in parenthesis and one is on the outside of it as well you multiply the powers

OpenStudy (a1234):

(3t^2)^3(2t^0)^-3 9t^6(1/8t), I think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 3t^6 and 2t^0

OpenStudy (a1234):

How did you get 2t^0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because u start with (2t^0)^-3 and u must multiply the power 0 times the power -3 to simplify and anything times 0 is 0

OpenStudy (a1234):

What happened to 2t^-3? You cube the whole thing (2t^0).

OpenStudy (a1234):

2t^-3 is 1/(2t)^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you must split up the equation before simplifying it so it must start as (3t^2)^3 and (2t^0)^-3 and u must keep what ever in in parenthesis seperate from whats on the outside so the first would be 3t^6 simplified and the second would be 2t^0 simplified because when simplifying an equation that has a power on the inside of a parenthesis and on the outside you must multiply the powers to simplify the equation

im in collage and this is what i have learned in the past trust me but i gtg so ill see you all later
