OpenStudy (vshiroky):

A doctor measures the waist (in cm) of a number of patients. This would be which scale of measurement? Nominal Ordinal Interval/Ratio

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seems like interval/ratio again :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i agree with @iambatman cause i just looked it up more specifically it is "ratio" because height has a meaningful zero

OpenStudy (vshiroky):

The teacher of a class of third graders records the height of each student in inches. What is the scale of measurement?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 Yup it's actually just ratio, which was the answer for your last question as well, but it seems they put it together for some odd reason.

OpenStudy (vshiroky):

so both the third graders and the doctors measurements are interval-ratio? my teacher said for psych/stats they combine it

OpenStudy (vshiroky):

is that right @iambatman and @satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes
