Does anyone know anything about graphing with Excel? I'm ready to strangle my computer...

OpenStudy (a1234):

What kind of graphing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let the rage out, you'll feel better

OpenStudy (a1234):

Like a scatter plot, or a line graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Time on x-axis. temperature on the y-axis. every time i try to graph my data, I am given two lines. i need one. i have to find a trend in data

OpenStudy (a1234):

First you need some data. Do you have that? I did a project about this stuff a couple of months ago.

My Data:

OpenStudy (a1234):

Yes but you need to enter that into Excel.

OpenStudy (a1234):

Then select the data in Excel and choose a graph from the "Insert" tab.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have it set up: Trial Temperature Time data data data

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can get that far.... but it gives me two lines. I need one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It graphs Temp and Time separately

OpenStudy (a1234):

Just a sec...I'll open up an Excel document and explore a bit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My teacher gave us one night to do this and I have noooooo clue how to work Excel

OpenStudy (a1234):

I'm looking...just a second.

OpenStudy (a1234):

What I found that is closest to what you're looking for is a scatter plot. You can insert a "scatter plot" from the "Insert" tab and then insert a "trendline" to indicate which way the data is going.
