Analyze the following statement. Marcus notices that he runs faster in the mornings rather than the evenings.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the statement an example of correlation or causation? Correlation because time of day doesn't cause a person to run faster or slower Causation because Marcus has noticed this over several trials No relationship because time of day has nothing to do with how fast a person runs There is not enough information to make a conclusion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im guessing its B

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

I'm thinking C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it does... i run, lol

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Hmm, I don't see how the time of day has to do with how fast a person can run.. I'm in between C or D tbh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Causation because Marcus has noticed this over several trials

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think about it , Marcus had to have done several trials for him to come to this conclusion. Now some might not agree but in the statement it only includes Marcus and only him. Now it says he notices, so he could be totally wrong. The rest of the statements are facts not arguments.

OpenStudy (lena772):

So what was the answer ?

OpenStudy (gahm8684):

Causation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is NOT B! ''Causation, because Marcus has noticed this over several trials'' Took the test & got it wrong!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what is the correct answer? btw took it and got it wrong as well
